I had stopped running this mill in 2004 when my back went the last time
I worked up to February of 2005 - the last 6 months at FLC as a "Project Manager".
Due to the under handed personal at FLC who were afraid of me running the department .
and making their departments LOOK BAD
I had NEVER failed to turn a profit in my department and mine always had the HIGHEST profit margins.
Unfortunately , I was also a target by other dept heads as I wouldn't kiss ass or cover up other depts failures .
I always covered MY workers asses and was respected by them.
Something very few of the other bosses could say
I really enjoyed working with my crews back then and most were great workers.
Some still are good friends and we keep in touch.
These men were true craftsmen and the likes of which won't be easily replaced.
They for the most part were guys that would bust their asses and take great pride in the work they turned out
Unfortunately by 2004 , FLC was no longer concerned with quality , just profits.
When the brought in their new "idea-man" Weav-bert , it was the beginning of the end of quality and pride in the product we produced.
Weave-bert hated me and tried for 2 years to get me fired but THEY couldn't because I didn't make mistakes and always turned a profit
something Weave-bert couldn't EVER do in his areas LOL
When my back went and I was off for my last operation the Weave was able to talk the owners into making me a project manager and they took my department and men away from my control.
The first year I didn't run the department , it lost money the first time since I had took over in 1990.
And each year after that until Weaver was fired it lost money.
Unfortunately , the poor sighted owners of the company wouldn't take advice from people who loved the job .
They believe the asskissers and those sincophants led the mill down the path of distruction and the milled closed it's door in April of 2008
