Videos dealing with PAIN
These are some videos I've come across that deal with pain.
I have had nothing to do with the production of them
but I have found them to be very imformative.
This page will be a work in progress and will grow as I find them
The first is a film done by On Beyond Films
entitled " the Chilling Effect"
It's a film of some length and deals with the state of pain management and
its effect on some peoples lives AND FREEDOM.
Richard Paey's story is highlighted mostly
along with comments by another chronic pain sufferer named Sean Greenwood.
Both their families also are interviewed about Chronic Pains effect of their lives.
Mister Paey was inprisioned in the state of Florida for possessing legitimate pain medication.
He was accused and convicted of being a "drug dealer" and a "drug abuser".
All for possessing legally written pain medicine prescriptions.
He was pardoned and released in late September 2007 after serving 3 years
While he was imprisioned , he was actually given higher doses of the same pain medication that what he was charged with possessing "illegally".
The state of Florida even paid to have an internal morphine pump installed in Mr. Paey.
I hope you take the time it takes , to watch these videos.
It may give people an insight into the way we chronic pain sufferers have to live our lives.
