Being out in natural areas is my favorite thing to do whether a mountain , forest , stream ,river or lake. Comments are always welcome All images on this page are copyrighted by James Misener Images free to be used for non-commercial work All you need to do is ask permission BEFORE using , a better quality image can be made available for you to use Landscapes and nature shots any photos of the earth , water or sky I have shot mostly shot around here in western New York   Plants , Flowers and other natural creations   2008 - Birds, Geckos and others creatures from Florida    The Bike Path This is a series of paths running thru Western New York along the shore of Lake Erie and the Niagara river Here you will experience what I see on my walks through out its many sections    Hawk Creek Raptor Rescue site A non-profit organization here in Western NY Specializing in birds of prey but also rescues reptiles and animals too    Animal , Birds and other critters   Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens Photos shot at various times during walks thru the botanical gardens    Niagara Falls Photos shot at various times during walks on both the Canadian and American sides of the Falls The Canadian side gives people a much better view of the Falls themselves ,especially at night but On the American side , the Falls is in a more natural setting and is totally contained in a NY State Park , so there are very few buildings and most of those are beautiful old masonary structures    The Tift Farm nature preserve Photos shot at various times during walks thru Tift farm Tift is a nature preserve that was at one time a series of canals serving the Buffalo harbor & western New York Both my maternal grandfather and father worked there at different times unloading freighters off the lakes In the 1960s & early 1970s it was a landfill for the city of Buffalo and in 1976 when it had reached its fill , the city turned it into a nature preserve.   Autumn in Akron Park These were shot in fall of 2007 In and around the Akron Park here in Erie County    Grand Island , NY Grand Island is one of the worlds largest fresh water islands Surrounded by the Niagara River It has Buckhorn nature preserve and Beaver Island State Park along with many other places of interest.    The DAMN Storm of 2006 The greater Buffalo Area was hit by freak October lake effect snowstorm , Thursday Oct 12th According to FEMA , NY state and everyone else , government wise , the village of Kenmore in the Town of Tonawanda was "ground zero" for the storm.  Was driving one night and saw this awesome sunset .
